“My drawings inspire yet cannot be defined. They do not determine anything. Like music, they transport us into the ambiguous world of the undetermined.” While Paris was coming to terms with Impressionism, the Symbolist artist Odilon Redon (1840-1916) concentrated on depicting the subjective, resulting in a wildly imaginative and singular vision and style.
The Dream, ca. 1900-10, reproduced here as a high quality print comes pre-matted and ready to frame to complement any space!
This print was produced to accompany an exhibition on view at the Morgan Library & Museum, Liberty to the Imagination: Drawings from the Eveillard Gift, June 7, 2024 through October 6, 2024.
