Three pieces by Impressionist artist Auguste Renoir (1841-1919) included in the exhibition Renoir Drawings on view at the Morgan Library & Museum, these watercolor landscapes most likely date from the first half of the 1890s, a decade during which Renoir and his family traveled to several coastal sites outside of Paris, before discovering the qualities of the South of France in the latter part of that decade.
