Noël 1893 By Eugene Grasset Boxed Holiday Cards

Noël 1893 (also known as Omslag voor het Kerstnummer 1893 van “L’Illustration” or The Kitchen of the Angels) is a famous Art Nouveau illustration by Eugène Grasset (1841–1917) for the cover of the Christmas issue of the French magazine L'Illustration. The warm, storybook scene—often described as angels cooking or tending a hearth for the Holy Family—imbued with medieval-inspired interiors, flowing ornamental lines, and a soft seasonal palette.
