This notecard features an illuminated page from an exceptional Hebrew Bible from fifteenth-century France.

The parallel between two prophetic authors, Moses and David, is reflected in the physical division of Hebrew Bibles into three parts: Torah (Law), Nevi'im (Prophets), and Ketuvim (Writings). In this Hebrew Bible, the first pages of all three major divisions are distinguished by their elaborate painted decorations.

This product was created to accompany the exhibition Sing a New Song: The Psalms in Medieval Art and Life on view at the Morgan Library & Museum September 12, 2025 through January 4, 2026.
