NEW! Inspired by The Morgan's Ancient Seals and Tablets Collections

Any antiquarian will wish to wear a unique design from the ancient world! The design for these earrings was inspired by a detail from Seal 719 in our collection of Mesopotamian cylinder seals. This piece reflects the image produced from the cylinder seal when the impression is formed. Available in sterling silver or 14 karat gold-plated sterling silver, the hook closure earrings hang approximately 1 inch long, while the stud earrings hang approximately 0.75 inch long.

The original Seal 719 in the Morgan's collection, produced between 700 B.C. and 500 B.C., depicts a contest scene where an archer is in an assault on a lion-griffin menacing a tree that has a winged sun disk above it.
