From the Morgan Library & Museum's collection, this image of the first Christmas card printed is reproduced for your own use this holiday season. Designed by John Callcott Horsley (1817-1903) and printed in 1842 by J.R. Jobbins of Holborn, the original card bears the sentiment "A Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you" and were commissioned by Sir Henry Cole under his "Felix Summerly" pseudonym. Few of the original copies of this card survive!

Box set includes 16 cards and envelopes, blank inside.
