These beautiful leather journals feature reproductions from the Morgan Library & Museum's Visconti-Sforza Tarot. Painted by Bonifacio Bembo for Francesco Sforza and Bianca Maria Visconti — the Duke and Duchess of Milan — the Visconti-Sforza tarot is among the earliest surviving tarot decks. Seventy-four cards survive, now divided between the Morgan Library & Museum, the Accademia Carrara in Bergamo, and a private collection. Coats of arms on several cards suggest the deck may have been a diplomatic gift, possibly intended to honor a member of the Bon family of Venice.
Choose your favorite or collect them both! Tarot decks are traditionally given as gifts, so make sure you choose one for a friend as well.
