Saint Augustine was the bishop of Hippo, what is now Annaba, Algeria, from 396 to 430 AD. A renowned theologian and a prolific writer, Saint Augustine wrote extensively on the Book of Psalms in a six-volume commentary based on sermons he preached. This work is considered his longest and most important, offering a profound, devotional, and Christ-centered exploration of the Psalms.
