A stunning necklace, inspired by the personal style and medieval interests of the Morgan Library & Museum's first Director and Librarian, Belle da Costa Green, is a must-have for historians and jewelry-lovers alike.

This necklace is made with a bar of black spinel beads and suspended garnet beads in between and a large white freshwater pearl at its center. An oxidized sterling silver chain, clasp and closure set off the piece.

This piece is part of a collection conceived by designer Silvana Segulja to evoke the fashion sense and personality of Belle da Costa Greene in collaboration with The Morgan Shop. A studio jeweler since 1999, Silvana makes her meticulously handcrafted work in Seattle, Washington. Her work is often inspired by modern architecture and contemporary structures, but on a much smaller scale. Her forms are both bold and delicate and are often adorned with semi-precious stones and pearls to create a collection of jewelry that is timeless.
